KT Mahe
Tomatometer-approved critic
Biography:
Australian born with Tongan roots, KT is a film critic and podcaster that gravitates toward grounded insular stories with layered characters. KT believes storytelling is bolstered by experience, not hindered by it and loves drawing parallels in a film to real world commentary. From reading books ('Queenie', 'Pachinko') to interrogating colonial threads in 'Avatar', KT brings a distinct and nuanced voice to film criticism. KT's inquisitive love for films is evident in her interviewing style. She also hosted Q&A screening at Sydney Film Festival as well as guest spots on ABC Radio Australia and BBC News for Barbenheimer.
