SHEEPDOG (2025) 77% 3.5/5 EDIT “Where "Sheepdog" completely succeeds is in addressing veteran support. Veterans still fail to get the support they need and deserve. Kudos to Grayhm for shining a spotlight on this shameful aspect of American culture.” – Epoch Times Jan 23, 2026 Full Review A Private Life (2025) 80% 2.5/5 EDIT “French film aficionados and Foster fans may find the film fascinating due to France-in-the-fall feels and Foster’s fine French, but I found it far from fun.” – Epoch Times Jan 19, 2026 Full Review Greenland 2: Migration (2026) 51% 2/5 EDIT “The film's a journey to discover life, that needed to have a life of its own in the first place.” – Epoch Times Jan 15, 2026 Full Review Dead Man's Wire (2025) 91% 2.5/5 EDIT “"Dead Man's Wire" seems to be more concerned with creating a noir-ish 1970s pastiche than making any kind of substantial statement.” – Epoch Times Jan 14, 2026 Full Review The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002) 95% 5/5 EDIT “Necessarily darker and more violent than its predecessor, it may be too overwhelming for young children. For teens and adults, it's an overwhelmingly wonderful experience. "The Two Towers" is one of the greatest films of all time.” – Epoch Times Jan 6, 2026 Full Review The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) 91% 5/5 EDIT “This story is the second most-read Western tale of spiritual enlightenment after Homer’s "The Odyssey." This is the hidden reason people keep returning to the well of orcs, elves, dwarves, hobbits, and black riders. It’s very, very deep. And prescient.” – Epoch Times Jan 5, 2026 Full Review If I Had Legs I'd Kick You (2025) 92% 2/5 EDIT “The film intends to be a noble, unflinching look at the heroic load single mothers carry. The fact of the matter is that the woes inherent in single-motherhood are communism/feminism’s carefully camouflaged mine-fields finally and inevitably detonating.” – Epoch Times Jan 4, 2026 Full Review The Housemaid (2025) 74% 2.5/5 EDIT “Made well, this kind of slick, commercial yarn has the potential for a deliciously lurid two hours, but "The Housemaid" can’t get scary enough to draw adult viewers into its web. Teens will most likely get a kick out of it, though.” – Epoch Times Jan 3, 2026 Full Review Avatar: Fire and Ash (2025) 66% 4/5 EDIT “While it would be nice to have new intellectual property coming from James Cameron, the "Avatar" films are like the "Lord Of The Rings" trilogy—keep ‘em comin’.” – Epoch Times Jan 1, 2026 Full Review The Testament of Ann Lee (2025) 87% 2.5/5 EDIT “It’s a gritty, religious drama featuring miscarriages, sexual assaults, torture, and adultery. And it’s a musical. That’s a tremendous amount of ground to cover, geographically, plot-wise, and tonally. Audiences will most likely either love it or hate it.” – Epoch Times Dec 30, 2025 Full Review Not Without Hope (2025) 75% 3/5 EDIT “"Not Without Hope" is a respectful interpretation of real-life survival. Not for entertainment, it's a good parental opportunity to teach life lessons to teens.” – Epoch Times Dec 24, 2025 Full Review Marty Supreme (2025) 93% 3.5/5 EDIT “Timothée Chalamet's Marty is a cunning rascal juggling 15 balls simultaneously, and the pressure-cooker anxiety he generates will raise your blood pressure.” – Epoch Times Dec 23, 2025 Full Review Dust Bunny (2025) 85% 2/5 EDIT “Film is a dangerous, potentially harmful medium. While 'Gremlins' inflicted violence on puppets, 'Dust Bunny' features violence that's strictly not for kids.” – Epoch Times Dec 21, 2025 Full Review Jay Kelly (2025) 75% 2.5/5 EDIT “For a far more rewarding experience with the exact same premise (famous movie director puts his career before his two daughters) see "Sentimental Value" instead.” – Epoch Times Dec 18, 2025 Full Review Adulthood (2025) 77% 3/5 EDIT “Though good for a chuckle, "Adulthood' should have ultimately gone with either full crazy or full misery—either commitment would have been more satisfying.” – Epoch Times Dec 18, 2025 Full Review Eternity (2025) 77% 3.5/5 EDIT “The artifice of romantic-triangle comedy "Eternity" is that human souls can spend the afterlife however and with whomever we please, but certain rules apply.” – Epoch Times Dec 17, 2025 Full Review King Ivory (2024) 71% 3.5/5 EDIT “Carrying the same reality-based gravitas as "Sicario" and "Training Day," it’s a wonder "King Ivory" is not a bigger movie.” – Epoch Times Nov 22, 2025 Full Review Now You See Me: Now You Don't (2025) 60% 3.5/5 EDIT “Cinematic cotton candy that melts from the mind, but so did the first two movies which grossed $700 million to lukewarm reviews, which is a kind of magic trick.” – Epoch Times Nov 22, 2025 Full Review Bull Run (2024) 2.5/5 EDIT “Possibly all the American professions like tech, finance, sales, real estate, law, politics, and media—that tend to feature bro-culture—will enjoy 'Bull Run.'” – Epoch Times Nov 14, 2025 Full Review Waltzing with Brando (2024) 56% 2.5/5 EDIT “Billy Zane’s bravura performance as Brando deserved better; it deserved a top-notch vehicle—probably a drama.” – Epoch Times Nov 6, 2025 Full Review Die My Love (2025) 74% 1/5 EDIT ““Die My Love” stars Jennifer Lawrence as a new mother with postpartum depression, and Robert Pattinson as her hopelessly helpless, hapless husband.” – Epoch Times Nov 5, 2025 Full Review Christy (2025) 67% 3.5/5 EDIT “Sweeney has shifted her brand from pin-up-girl to serious actress with a series of unglamorous roles. With "Christy" she turns in a career-best as a pro boxer.” – Epoch Times Nov 3, 2025 Full Review Sentimental Value (2025) 97% 4/5 EDIT “"Sentimental Value" raises the crucial question: is creating art a genuine form of seeking forgiveness? Or is it an elegant way to externalize guilt?” – Epoch Times Nov 2, 2025 Full Review A HOUSE OF DYNAMITE (2025) 75% 4/5 EDIT “See “A House of Dynamite” as a way to avoid slacking off on your prayers for world peace.” – Epoch Times Nov 2, 2025 Full Review Good Fortune (2025) 78% 2/5 EDIT “One can say, positively, that 'Good Fortune' is fundamentally positive and nice. Unfortunately, the best comedy is often quite mean.” – Epoch Times Oct 30, 2025 Full Review
