To Live and Die and Live (2023) Ashley Bissette Sumerel Some details are too brief, some characters aren’t given quite enough time, and some of the twists happen too suddenly. Still, the film is beautifully shot and incredibly powerful, with excellent performances and breathtaking imagery.

The Substance (2024) Breeze Riley The somewhat derivative plot, at least in terms of body horror canon, is made better by a standout performance from Moore who brings raw emotion to Elisabeth’s inner turmoil.

I'll Be Right There (2024) Ashley Bissette Sumerel Though the moments are small, the film takes Wanda through some significant changes that force her to re-examine herself.

The Bikeriders (2023) Breeze Riley If you’re interested in an aesthetic, nostalgic look at that era, The Bikeriders delivers beautifully...For a story inspired by photos it certainly makes a pretty picture.

Challengers (2024) Breeze Riley Challengers’ electrifying ending will satisfy anyone invested in the tennis match happening before them. However, it will take understanding what Tashi really wants...to experience the full thrill of the conclusion.

Lisa Frankenstein (2024) Breeze Riley Lisa’s transformation from an everyday weird girl goth to the accidental accomplice of a serial killer zombie provides a perfect setup for an entertaining and gruesome comedy.

Dangerous Waters (2023) Ashley Bissette Sumerel While the foreshadowing is heavy in Dangerous Waters, that doesn’t make the film any less shocking.

American Fiction (2023) Alicia Gilstorf The biting precision with which American Fiction‘s sharp wit slices away at the publishing and film industries is exhilarating.

Oppenheimer (2023) Ashley Bissette Sumerel As emotional, beautiful, and thought-provoking as this film is, it’s that much more powerful because it’s based on historical events. It’s a film I won’t be able to shake for a long time.

The Out-Laws (2023) Ashley Bissette Sumerel While the Netflix original film The Out-Laws, starring Pierce Brosnan and Adam Devine, is undoubtedly entertaining, I wouldn’t call it a must-see film either.
