Ballad of a Small Player (2025) Paul McGuire Grimes The initial set-up and wild nature of these characters wears off, and the story seems to wander about halfway through leaving the audience to decide if the payout and surprise of the end is worth it.

Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret. (2023) Paul McGuire Grimes Writer/Director Kelly Fremon Craig has done an incredible job at bringing Judy Blume’s spirit onto the big screen. It’s quite funny, as you can feel the joy and hopeful nature that she brings to Margaret.

Where the Crawdads Sing (2022) Paul McGuire Grimes I wouldn’t say that Where the Crawdads Sing is groundbreaking in any way, but I love how it captures the beauty and mystery of Kya’s environment in the marsh. It will suck the audience in wanting to know the whodunnit, and yes, I did fall for the ending.
