Primate (2025) Wendy Lee Szany This is a horror movie you can have fun with. You get that "edge-of-your-seat" anxiety and excitement feel throughout. Good pacing, with characters you can invest in.

Anaconda (2025) Wendy Lee Szany The plot loses itself at times - is this about friends making an Anaconda movie or about a character's quest to fight against illegal mining? Still, I had a good time with it. Rudd and Black make a great comedic pair.

Avatar: Fire and Ash (2025) Wendy Lee Szany Avatar: Ash and Fire is stunning on screen. Love the addition of The Ash People. Varang makes a fantastic villain. However, the story felt like a rehash of the previous one. The pacing and some of the dialogue felt off.

Marty Supreme (2025) Wendy Lee Szany Chalamet is fantastic in this. Enjoyed seeing the story of Marty and his journey. The second act felt like it was starting to tell a different story, luckily the final act brought me back and ended on a high note.

Zootopia 2 (2025) Wendy Lee Szany I had no idea how much I missed these characters until I was transported back to the world of Zootopia in this sequel. Animation is gorgeous, and the story is heartwarming. Lots of laughs to be had with this one.

Predator: Badlands (2025) Wendy Lee Szany The action is non-stop from beginning to end. Exactly what I wanted to see in a Predator-led movie. The dynamic between Dek and Thia is so fun to watch and root for. Must be experience in a theater.

Is This Thing On? (2025) Wendy Lee Szany Takes a bit to get off the ground, but overall, great performances by Arnett and Dern. Would have liked to see this film spend less time on the supporting characters whose stories didn't exactly add to the overall plot.

Kiss of the Spider Woman (2025) Wendy Lee Szany Loved the story but the pacing was uneven and took me out of the movie multiple times. Luna and Lopez are great, but Tonatiuh is the one who shines brightly in this.

If I Had Legs I'd Kick You (2025) Wendy Lee Szany It's certainly a bit of an uncomfortable watch, but the writing and the performances, especially, are really fantastic. Love the choice of keeping the camera close to Byrne's face to focus on her emotions and reactions rather than her actions.

Freakier Friday (2025) Wendy Lee Szany Great seeing Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis reprising their roles. There's a lot of heart in this movie, and they did a great job referencing the original without it feeling like fan service. The perfect movie for a mother-daughter outing.

Weapons (2025) Wendy Lee Szany This movie and its imagery will stay with you long after the movie. Loved how the story was unveiled through each character's POV. Great building of tension all the way up to that third act which was completely insane.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025) Wendy Lee Szany A refreshing entry for the MCU, the story shines the spotlight on the family dynamic and the emotions. While it has plenty of action, it doesn’t rely on it to tell a good story. Vanessa Kirby and Joseph Quinn are the standouts in this.

Elio (2025) Dustin Szany Elio's story had potential. We connect with that feeling of wanting to belong and to find a community. However, it mostly felt one-dimensional; there wasn't anything that made me feel overly sympathetic towards these characters like past Pixar films.

Karate Kid: Legends (2025) Wendy Lee Szany I was curious to see how this movie would handle merging Jackie Chan's Karate Kid and the original Karate Kid franchise, and I think they succeeded in that. Ben Wang is extremely likeable as the lead.

Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning (2025) Wendy Lee Szany Wished the pacing was tighter and the dialogue didn't play so exposition heavy, but I was still entertained nonetheless. The action sequences is worth the price of admission and will keep you entertained for its almost 3-hour runtime

The Amateur (2025) Wendy Lee Szany The story is intriguing, and it had the potential to be a great film. I enjoyed the characters but wanted to see the movie dig into the characters more. The third act came to a crawling halt, and it lost its momentum.

Love Hurts (2025) Wendy Lee Szany Love to see Ke Huy Quan playing both the action hero and love interest in this movie. While fun, it felt like too many different arcs were crammed in, and the pacing was off. I also didn't feel the chemistry between the characters Marvin and Rose.

It Ends With Us (2024) Wendy Lee Szany Much of the dialogue did not work for me, even lines pulled directly from the book did not strike the same. I did not feel the spark between Lily and Ryle at all. Jenny Slate was perfect as Allysa and stole every scene she was in.

Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) Wendy Lee Szany The movie is chaotic, as expected in a Deadpool film. However, within the chaos, they found time to give characters emotional arcs and moments and let those scenes breathe. Great action, great performances, a ton of fun.

A Quiet Place: Day One (2024) Wendy Lee Szany Went in with high expectations and the film exceeds it. So much more than just a horror/disaster film. There is something incredibly human and emotional about this story. Stellar sound design & cinematography. Excellent performances by Nyong'o and Quinn.

The Imaginary (2023) Wendy Lee Szany Fans of Studio Ghibli/Miyazaki films will want to see this one. Definitely worth checking out, and I wish it was released in theaters to see the gorgeous animation on the big screen.

Inside Out 2 (2024) Wendy Lee Szany A really solid follow-up to the 2015 film. It's a bit more mature than the previous - which is natural, given Riley is now a teenager. It's so relatable and drives home a very heartfelt message. The writing is very clever. Definitely worth checking out!
