The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025) Vincent Schilling It’s a fun romp through a futuristic retro world, but extremely confusing as to why. Ben Grimm/The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) and Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Joseph Quinn) stole the show.

Rez Ball (2024) Vincent Schilling FROM A NATIVE AMERICAN CRITIC: Netflix’s sports drama REZBALL is a game-winning three-pointer! Sydney Freeland and Sterlin Harjo’s REZBALL will become a classic with staying power that will last for generations to come. Standout performances!

Horizon: An American Saga - Chapter 1 (2024) Vincent Schilling A massive undertaking by Costner that might appear intimidating at first, but in the end, comes together nicely. As a Native American film critic, I would have liked to see a bit more humanizing backstories for the Native characters.

Bad River (2024) Vincent Schilling ‘Bad River’ is an exceptional testament to Native resilience. I laughed, cried and raised my hand in triumph. As a critic, ‘Bad River’ fulfills all of my personally desired elements and thus earns a well-deserved 10 out of 10. I highly recommend it!

Killers of the Flower Moon (2023) Vincent Schilling As a Native American, I can say this is one of Scorsese's best films. Historically and culturally accurate, Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio are exceptional, and Lily Gladstone delivers an electrifying and Oscar-worthy performance.

Blue Beetle (2023) Vincent Schilling The actors were funny and lovable, but the Blue Beetle’s real enemy in this movie was the stereotypical Hollywood trope. I really wanted to love Blue Beetle. I really did.

Prey (2022) Vincent Schilling Amber Midthunder and Dakota Beavers create a great bond in Prey, set 300 years ago in Comanche territory. Beautiful cinematography, excellent choreography, The Best Predator Movie Ever.

The Unknown Country (2022) Vincent Schilling A beautiful film with a thoughtfully profound journey that slowly reveals itself. As a Native American critic, it is also an admittedly terrifying film considering the plight of MMIW. Lily Gladstone does an exceptional job.

Eternals (2021) Vincent Schilling An interesting storyline in the Marvel Universe that in my opinion, proves how the status quo just might miss the most impactful reason comic books existed in the first place. In my view, comic readers will likely appreciate this movie more.

The King's Man (2021) Vincent Schilling With all of the excitement of the Kingsman franchise so far, this was a bit of an over-historic dud.

8.2/10
Free Guy (2021) Vincent Schilling Not a bad comedic role for Reynolds, who was once again a laugh a minute, and Taika Waititi was refreshing, but a bit corny in its formulaic wrap-up.

Antlers (2021) Vincent Schilling Not too bad, a couple of jump scares, but not the best scary movie Ive seen. The Indigenous theme seemed a bit mismanaged, and as a Native man, believe me I am accustomed to it.

Encounter (2021) Vincent Schilling An exploration of a U.S. Marine and father's troubled love for his two sons. The biggest fight is against his own demons, thus, a beautiful formula for a film.
