Which means there has to be an incentive to rewatch it. This movie is bleak and depressing, joyless and brutal; a stunning exposé on the effects of guilt on one’s sanity. Stephen King adaptions are either hit or miss. With a lot on the miss side. I haven't read the book, and so don't know if this fairly reflects the book. The story starts out well enough and but builds ssslowly. Because of the pace this doesn't leave a lot of time for a middle to the film, ending when not a whole lot has happened. Full review → darjasuri.com/reviews/1922/ See more Leigh T @Leighharvie Feb 4 This movie is one of those where most people will either love or hate it. 1922 in my opinion is a slow and bleak movie but strangely enjoyable. The movie is extremely well made and makes the extremely slow movie enjoyable. The only thing that I did not enjoy was how strong Thomas Jane's accent was while i understand the accent was extremely important to his character it was quite often very hard to understand him. Overall the cinematography of the film was excellent and the acting was exceptional while there was some boring moments and Thomas Jane's accent was frustrating this film is very much worth setting aside the time to watch.
