The director and actor himself also demonstrates that getting behind and in front of the camera was not an act of vanity, but a completely correct decision in view of how likeable he is on-screen. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Leo’s journey is handled perfectly. Feingold is a star; cute as a button and funny as hell. Go to Full Review

The film’s quiet strength lies in what it isn’t. 31 Candles resists becoming a conventional rom-com. Romance is present, but it isn’t the point...uneven, occasionally funny, sometimes grating, but never entirely without heart. Go to Full Review

Part Christmas movie, part coming-of-age, part reconnecting with your religious roots, part rom-com, 31 Candles is a lovely movie. Go to Full Review

jesse v Jan 9 So there are 3 things that are noticeable: 1. Camera for all shots, mainly medium shots at conversations 2. Brave to film a New York City documentary 3. Making this movie grounded to reality wasn't the best idea to keep the romanticization zany and wacky oh and ONE more thing, NO DREIDEL??? (3+1) See more Vongai Nov 10 This film is very SPECIAL. Jonah Feingold and the 31 Candles cast and crew have successfully made a great film that has heart, originality, warmth, honest vulnerability and relatable humour. It is a love letter to his grandmother as well as his love of cinema and rom-com classics. This beautiful story is one that aspires to bring humans a little bit closer in a world filled with so much division. Its No.1 and certified fresh with an IMDb score of 8.5 in my household. Bravo! See more Steven (Quad Cafe) Nov 9 Charming coming of age movie, though main character is 31 yrs old. Never too late to "come of age" and accept oneself willingly !! See more Melinda T Nov 9 Funny, intelligent, witty and delightfully entertaining! The cultural humor here is well done but universal and appealing to all walks of life. See more nina j Nov 9 This is a silly but not funny unappealing 'comedy' I couldn't wait for it to end. See more Luke Nov 9 Such a fun movie! Laughed really hard. Was entertained the whole time.
