Lori M @Lmartinez02 Jan 18 Saccharine at best, maudlin at worst, but Thomas is the reason I was able to get through most of it until the scene with Warren and her attorney. The ex-husband was the embodiment of "asshattery" ( not sure if it's a word but someone said it on local radio) even before race came into play. Too easy to want to punch his lights out. Warren's character reminds me of my idealistic, 20-year-old self, and my impression 40 years ago pre-cynicism would have been radically different.
