After transferring into a new school, a deaf girl, Shoko Nishimiya, is bullied by the popular Shoya Ishida. As Shoya continues to bully Shoko, the class turns its back on him. Shoko transfers and Shoya grows up as an outcast. Alone and depressed, the regretful Shoya finds Shoko to make amends. "A Silent Voice" is a moving coming-of-age drama that depicts the struggles of adolescence through its memorable characters and beautiful animation.

Naoko Yamada crafts a hazy, nostalgic visual style perfect for exploring the ideas of guilt and memory which drive its plot but it’s the movies colourful, finely-tuned cast of characters which make it so easy to spend time with.

Amazing, poignant, story. When a former bully tries to make up for his previous mistakes, he struggles to forgive himself. Touching and emotional. A powerful, moving film.

This movie changed my life. I have watched this movie so many times and it’s my favorite. I learned that this movie is really about Shoya learning to love himself and open up to others. This is really inspiring and I loved it so much, I have the steel book dvd of this movie and am planning to get the manga. I truly think out of wvery movie wver made this deserves a perfect 10/10.

I loved this movie and I also loved how it depicted the depression that someone can have. I also liked the relationship between shoya and shoko, I liked how he was a bully at the start and apologized for his actions! Good movie over all
