Altered’s visual effects and action sequences are captivating, but its shortcomings lie in poor sound design and problematic writing. Go to Full Review

A fun, punchy ride, for what it is: a sci-fi b-movie (the kind I love) that makes a good rental or purchase on a Video On Demand platform. Go to Full Review

Altered is a garbage sci-fi action flick with horrendous acting, a stupid plot, and ridiculous fight scenes. It’s a nonsensical story about human genetic enhancements and a superhero who uses special flowers for his powers. Go to Full Review

Know what you're in for: cheap CGI, cheap sci-fi thrills, questionable politics, some corny acting. Go to Full Review

Once the gears of Altered’s plot start to turn, any focus on trying to build its initial concept from the inside out is squashed in favor of a tired formula. Go to Full Review

Any narrative or visual ambition in this dystopian science-fiction thriller is canceled out by the lackluster script, uneven performances, wooden dialogue, and tonal awkwardness. Go to Full Review

Jan M @Daddyjan666 1d Dammit this could have been so good! I don't blame the actors, they were just so poorly directed that the awkward dialogue totally failed to suspend my disbelief. So frustrating See more Vladimir B @Vlady61 1d Created an account just to write this review. I've seen better acting and dialogue in amateur porn. The idea was great. The plot was even solid enough. The dialogue seems to have been written by a middle schooler, and the best, most believable performance was from security guard #2. Only reason I even finished watching the movie was because the actual story is unique enough. Everyone associated with this movie except the lighting and camera guys needs to go to jail. See more Rachel T @RT28113866 Jul 20 Altered had an interesting premise, but the execution left a lot to be desired. One of the biggest issues was the lack of a memorable musical score. Many scenes that should have felt intense, emotional, or suspenseful came across as flat because the background music was either too subtle or forgettable. The dialogue didn’t help either—it often felt unnatural, clunky, and overly expositional, making it difficult to connect with the characters or become invested in the story. With stronger writing and a more impactful soundtrack, the film could have delivered a much more engaging experience. See more Greg H @Osevon Jun 8 The idea had potential, the film had none. Acting was horrendous, fight scenes laughable, the only thing needing modified was the script, See more Ollie H @RT53325797 May 30 As a fan of Hunger Games and Divergent, i wa excited to see this movie discuss the use of genetic engineering in the future. However, it is just a lazy movie full of cliches and cringe dialogue between weak characters. Seems like Felton is trying to gain some fame again by tackling topics of "government control", "genetic engineering", and "poverty", but it fails. His character lacks any real depth, and the story is incredibly clumsy. He uses the boring plot point of "Your parents asked me to take care of you" (wonder which famous film series he got that from…), and we meet his long-estranged dad as an important character; yet it immediately lacks any backstory of why the previous events occurred; it gives the villain a weak motive I suppose. There’s also a confusing love affair (I suppose we needed all of the cliches). A joke of a movie and quite frankly à waste of box office space. Surely there are some revolutionary new writers to find rather than this lazy Felton PR stunt? See more James T @RT19727962 May 27 One of the worst movies ever. I would have stopped watching in the first couple minutes, but i was curious to see how things would develop... i made it to 1hr and then threw in the towel, i was able to laugh at how bad it was, thats really the only entertainment you'll get. Don't waste your time on this crap. See more Read all reviews
