Ted B. @Movieaddicted May 26 2.5 stars; Cute, heartwarming, and all of those other 'Hallmark' endearing qualities. The comedy aspect of the plot would be funny if it wasn't so predictable. The best thing about this movie was that Douglas/Keaton didn't try to be a Tracy/Hepburn. There's another scene where a teddy bear is humped by a dog, then the next scene the little girl is hugging it in the backseat of grandpa car... Grandma touched it too, very weird & creepy movie!! Not even finished with it. Agree with the other review about such a hard watch in 2026... If I could rate it negative stars, I would... The only redeeming quality of the movie is Diane Keaton! The film also balances comedy and drama well, giving viewers quirky and funny moments while still exploring heavier themes like addiction, regret, broken family relationships, and emotional growth. It's a sweet, feel good movie with a great cast! I really enjoyed it and feels even more poignant now with Diane Keaton and Rob Reiner's passing.
