Aluna U @RT14704568 Sep 16, 2025 This remake of Wonderful Nightmare blends fantasy and real-life lessons through a story that imagines the afterlife with ironic human-like systems. Despite some illogical elements, the film delivers meaningful insights as the main character lives a different life, supported by strong performances and a surprising plot twist. Lighthearted yet thoughtful, it reminds us to view life from different perspectives and appreciate what truly matters. See more Apr 27, 2018 Li Yuran, played with exceptional grace and brillo by Gwen Lun-Mei, is a straight laced, tough, almost mute attorney who packs a punch in a few words and takes no crap from anyone. She has learned to live alone to achieve what she thinks is the dream life and is quick to push away anyone who tries to break her mold. As she is driving one night, she gets into a car accident and the movie really takes off after this pivotal scene. What Beautiful Accident does in its development of Li Yuran as a woman, a person, a lawyer and as a human being is nothing short of magical. To give anymore away, would be to deny you the magic and sheer delight in one of the best almost-dead-but-gets-a-second-chance to love movies. Do not under estimate the power of love, comedy, drama and karma that this movie rolls into one scene after another. Chen Kun is excellent in his role and the actors who portray the kids are superb. This is a movie whose ending is, expected, but as it unfolds, you will be surprised at the twists the writers included. Easily one of the best Chinese films I have seen in ages. I need to find my next Gwen Lun-Mei flick. She is easy on the eyes and simply marvelous in this role. See more Jun 20, 2017 Very charming movie. This one took me by surprise. You can't tell from the trailer, but this movie is very cute and heartwarming. The lead actress is terrific as lead comedy actress. See more Jun 8, 2017 Lun Mei Gwei is fabulous.
