David L @RT98148026 Jan 18 I had such high hopes. I absolutely loved "We Are Still Here" so I was stoked to see another Ted Geoghegan film but this movie is extremely boring. Don’t waste your time. It isn’t scary, the script doesn’t make sense, and the acting is sub-par. Nothing much happens until the very end but even the little bit of action isn’t enough to rescue this train wreck. Also, not really sure what the director was trying to say with this film. That the Nazis were the good guys and the Americans were the war criminals? Hollywood just can’t help itself. You know, it's one of those seance movies. Not gonna lie, the acting was decent, and the whole 1940s vibe? Pretty cool. The plot had some interesting backstory, especially how it touched on the war and, like, the whole "necessary evils" thing. It wasn't, like, mind-blowing or anything, but it definitely got the job done. I'd say it's a solid watch, you know? Not something I'd rush to see again, but if it was on, I wouldn't turn it off. Supernatural elements prevent them from leaving until they are willing to satisfy the requirements for leaving. This is much like a play. It could certainly be one. Except for the front steps, we never leave the apartment that contains the characters throughout most of the runtime. Well acted all around but Fessenden and Anne Ramsey (as a former interrogator) really impress. Those looking for traditional horror may not be pleased. This is an emotional and psychological film dealing with combat trauma.
