Critics Consensus

This Adam Sandler vehicle borrows shamelessly from It's A Wonderful Life and Back To The Future, and fails to produce the necessary laughs that would forgive such imitation.

The concept never really takes off on screen. Moreover, the only way such presumably uplifting cinema can work is if one feels in some ways for the characters and situations.

As a moral fable Click holds no surprises; as a Sandler comedy, it's unusually dark, occasionally touching and pretty funny.

As a broad family comedy this is perfectly acceptable, but from a sci-fi point of view it's a very pale imitation of the time travel classics it seeks to ape.

The comedy isn’t as pointed as desired and the drama isn’t as maudlin as expected, yielding decidedly mixed results.

Click has a strong emotional idea at its core, but the execution doesn’t consistently support it.

9/10. Click is much more than a comedy. It starts out funny, but it becomes an emotional and meaningful story about family, love, and making the most of your time. Adam Sandler gives a heartfelt performance that makes the movie funny, touching, and unforgettable.

Idk why reviews are so harsh. Loved this movie as a teen and I think it holds up. Comedy elements are lighter than other Sandler films but they had an idea of what they wanted this film to be and it holds up. Def worth watching if you haven't seen it before
