James Bond (Pierce Brosnan) is captured by North Korean agents and must serve a grueling prison sentence. He's finally released, and is convinced that someone in his own agency betrayed him. He escapes from custody and travels to Cuba, hot on the heels of Zao (Rick Yune), the agent who put Bond behind bars. The over-reliance on epic CGI effects results in a few chinks in the spectacle (the tidal wave looks like a video game effect), but the thrill-topping succession of death-defying disasters and unbelievable battles... just don’t stop coming.

It really doesn't matter how Lee Tamahori directed the film or what Neal Purvis and Robert Wade did with their script because Die Another Day was screwed from the moment that The Bourne Identity opened in theaters.

I see an absolute scene thriller in all of the James Bond movies. The scenes are so much better than todays scenes. The action compared to our action movies nowadays aren't comparable. Pierce Brosnan brings back thoes good action movie memories

This film has it all, the good, the bad, and the ugly. It went over the top and kept going, to such extremes you just have to go along and make fun of it if that helps soothe the pain. Bond and Jinx make a great if corny pair. The villian is, to me, actually somewhat interesting, and a good match for our hero. Die Another Day incorporates virtually every Bond trope and dials it up to 11. It's almost a parody, and probably the reason why they went in a new direction after this. But it's better than Tomorrow Never Dies and at least as good as The World Is Not Enough. Forget the critics. This wasn't made for them. This is the Sharknado of the Bond franchise, love it, hate it, or love to hate it.

This classic James Bond romp is criminally underrated. It is tremendously entertaining and enjoyable to watch. Pierce Brosnan nails James Bond to perfection. He fits the role like a glove. Toby Stephens chews the scenery delightfully as tthe main villain, and Rosamund Pike is a smoking hot femme fatale. John Cleese brings some classic British humour pedigree. 5/5

I have been binge watching all the 007 movies up till this movie and I must say Pierce Brosnan is the best James Bond. I love Sean Connery, Rodger Moore, and Timothy Dalton but Pierce Brosnan he embodied Bond, James Bond...and the wonderful, beautiful, and sexy actress Hallie Berry made this an amazing movie. Even though I am an African American woman I honestly feel 007 should always be a white foreign man. That accent just makes him even more dreamy. Tall heterosexual man with full chest hair.... when black actors and actresses wasn't getting any screen time in the US... they definitely appeared in 007 movies even when 007 movies 1st started back with Sean Connery. Gotta finish the others!!!
