Owen Wilson's charms can't save Drillbit Taylor, an unfunny, overly familiar bullied-teen comedy.

The action sags in the middle, but director Steven Brill gets mileage out of some funny cameos and good one-liners. Go to Full Review Sukhdev Sandhu Daily Telegraph (UK) Mar 28, 2008
It's hard to imagine a bigger disappointment, or a more casual squandering of audience good will, than Drillbit Taylor. Go to Full Review Wendy Ide The Times (UK) Mar 28, 2008

See more Melissa L @Agent99 Jul 13, 2026 I honestly don't know why this movie is getting low ratings. I personally love Owen Wilson, and this movie didn't disappoint. It was funny, but, then again, I had been bullied myself as a child. It was a great movie. I also thought it had a great ending. See more Briana I. @Anaire May 28, 2026 Really good funny movie..I'm not sure why Owen Wilson is so underrated as an actor but I love every film he's in. Kids were adorable and hilarious as well.
