Critics Consensus

Despite a muddled story and diminished spark, Enola Holmes 3 succeeds thanks to Millie Bobby Brown's winning performance and some lively action.

The Malta setting and the movie’s “merry mess” make for a fine backdrop for Brown’s continuing evolution as a charming big, or small, screen presence. Go to Full Review

For fans, this is an exciting continuation, while newcomers will find it an entertaining mystery that stands confidently on its own. The future of the "Enola Holmes" franchise has never looked brighter. Go to Full Review

The key cast have ... established a refreshing chemistry that should carry Ms Holmes comfortably through another few films. Go to Full Review

Continues the franchise's tradition of being an acceptable way to pass a couple of hours. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Has a rather dull plot and is too busy trying to disguise the fact with all sorts of visual gimmicks. Go to Full Review

It’s all very tired and tiresome. The streaming franchise’s sense of fun has faded, the script is barely serviceable, and even Helena Bonham Carter can’t bring much life to the proceedings. Go to Full Review

David M @RT30868034 15h The third entry in this likeable series fizzes with the same energy as the first two films, powered by the energetic, kinetic, warm performance of Millie Bobby Brown in the lead role. She's more than capable of carrying this sort of family-friendly adventure on her shulders, and it's thanks to her that features of this series like the repeated breaking of the fourth wall don't become too tiresome. The plot - Sherlock goes missing at Enola's wedding - is paper-thin; the theme of colonial guilt is tacked on rather, but it's hard to dislike this insubstantial but engaging second sequel. See more Shawn N @shawn70 23h I absolutely loved the first 2 Enola Holmes movies and thought they were a breath of fresh air amidst the American flood of over the top action movies, smut and bad language, and gore flicks. But this one...this was such a major disappointment as you can see by the other reviews, and I had to watch it to believe the negativity. It is slow, I almost nodded off half way, and so much dialogue crammed together that the movie has to basically explain itself as it goes along. The end result is almost like an obligatory movie with neither excitement nor entertainment, just a lot of nothingness. Never thought I'd say this, but please....mark this one "case closed" and put it to rest. May they all live happily ever after. See more Eddie T @Eddieratesmovies 1d Watson isn’t an Arab or Indian.Moriarty isn’t a black woman he’s a white man when shows change so much not worth watching. Another identity politics movie white people are bad blah blah etc… its not true and so stupid. See more Vincenzo S @vinci60 1d The plot is muddy and boring. Definitively, not at the level of the first two movies but still watchable for a couple of hours See more David T @RT12351481 3d Super boring and woeful plot. Could not wait until it finished. Just dumb! See more shahad S @shahad1237 3d The plot was so boring and don’t get me started on Millie’s gel nails and lip filler im not a hater I’ve always loved her but her acting was really bad and the whole vibe was just off and it felt rushed See more Read all reviews
