Critics Consensus

Entanglement proves there's still room for charmingly quirky romantic comedies -- even if it flirts with a number of ingredients that typically lead to cutesy disaster.

For moviegoers who don't mind shutting down their rational brains in order to enjoy 85 minutes of likable escapism, Entanglement will be just the ticket. Probably.

[Jason] James' assured timing and visual knack almost mask how strained and half-baked the story is.

A so-so but charming enough story concerning the connections that bind, define and sometimes confound us.

Tries to be a drama about mental health, a missing-person mystery and a twee romantic comedy at the same time. It succeeds at none of it.

The scant 85-minute running time is padded with too many musical montages that leaves us simultaneously wanting more and less.

"Entanglement" doesn't break the indie rom-com mold, but it warps the framework enough to provide intrigue. A modest, enjoyable charmer.

Entanglement tiene una trama que a mi parecer no supieron aprovechar, dando como resultado una pelÃcula floja y con muchos detalles de producción...Insisto que que la idea está muy buena, pero no paso de allÃ.

Laden with phony dialogue & tired tropes straight out of an obnoxious/self-righteous 90s indie, this gangly, modern melodrama somewhat redeems itself for those with the fortitude to stick it out (much like its main character).

It's a shame so many original gems like this film fly under most people's radar. It won't be nominated for any Academy Awards, but this eccentric, heartbreaking yet funny cinematic experience offers a helluva lot more than most big studio films. Engaging performances from the three appealing leads, Thomas Middleditch, Jess Weixler and Diana Bang, make the experience that much more rewarding. If you're looking for something different, please support independent cinema and see this film.
