Cohan and private investigator Tyler Maroney of Quest Research & Investigations as they conduct a forensic, four-year investigation into the origins of Satoshi Nakamoto, the pseudonymous creator of Bitcoin, whose identity remains secret. CHRISTOPHER Y @RT82953437 6d *SPOILERS BELOW* Finding Satoshi is excellent—and I think they got it right. After watching Banking on Bitcoin in 2018, it seemed obvious that Hal Finney was Satoshi, until the running discrepancy appeared to debunk it. So what were we missing? The answer: Satoshi was two people. Hal Finney and Len Sassaman together make the entire story click. That was the missing piece. The fact that both are no longer with us also explains why the mystery has endured. And incredibly, Hal may one day be revived and return to roughly 1 million Bitcoin. Satoshi’s identity ultimately doesn’t matter, but in my opinion, the evidence presented here makes a compelling case that these two men were Satoshi. If anyone else was involved, their role was likely too small to change that conclusion. Awesome documentary. Hopefully it brings some closure—unlikely—and lets us continue the dream of decentralized, scarce money. See more Read all reviews
