Single mother Tess Coleman (Jamie Lee Curtis) and her teenage daughter Anna (Lindsay Lohan) couldn't be more different, and it is driving them both insane. After receiving cryptic fortunes at a Chinese restaurant, the two wake up the next day to discover that they have somehow switched bodies. Unable to switch back, they are forced to masquerade as one another until a solution can be found. In the process, they develop a new sense of respect and understanding for one another.

A classic comedy from the era of Lindsay Lohan’s pop culture dominance! Director Mark Waters’ coming of age comedy Freaky Friday (2003) feels timeless and always hilarious even after dozens of viewings over 20 years. Waters’ direction is fearless as he happily demonstrates the fun loving joys of angsty teenagers and alternative rockers in the early 2000’s. I miss this era of movies from my childhood. I hope Lindsay Lohan’s films like Freaky Friday do not get lost in the endless stream of movies for kids and teenagers now. I have such a sense of nostalgia for when Lindsay Lohan ruled the world and everything felt fun. She really gave us The Parent Trap, Get a Clue, Freaky Friday, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, Mean Girls, and Herbie: Fully Loaded in 8 years. Lindsay Lohan will always be famous and loved by her fans. I’m glad to revisit her classics as Freaky Friday is so funny and sweet at heart. Waters’ direction is as empathetic towards contemporary teenagers.

Es una pelicula del 2000 y vaya que me logro enganchar, las actrices se robaron el show. Me gusto el mensaje que dejan al final pero igual fue una historia que entretiene.
