Critics Consensus

Thought not without its charms -- chief among them John Travolta's endearingly over-the-top performance -- From Paris with Love is too muddled and disjointed to satisfy.

Aside from a generic plot twist and a little clever banter between the two fellas, From Paris With Love fails to deliver the excitement to which the trailer alludes. Go to Full Review Laremy Legel Film.com May 6, 2011

The most underdeveloped character... remains Paris. Why set a movie in the City of Lights if you aren’t going to exploit it for everything it’s worth? The movie could’ve been called “From Cleveland with Love” and no one would’ve known the difference. Go to Full Review Rene Jordan El Nuevo Herald (Miami) Oct 19, 2022

Ahmed K @RT53931971 Apr 15, 2026 Plot is just "look Islam terriosm" +Paris + Travolta same rebranded post 9-11 films that glorify the US and CIA. Please stop John travolta He can't act. Whoever lied to him and told him he could act should be put in prison He is so bad and his plastic surgery isn't helping with his facial expressions. And dont get me started on the horrible graphics. I felt like I was watching a Bollywood film edited on capcut. I would never recommend this absolute steaming pile of shit. Literally why does this movie exist. There is no plot no acting no graphics no budget. See more Filip N @filip_n Apr 12, 2026 Very good. Very much like. Not bad, I like! :) See more Guillermo A @Guillermo.Almeida Jan 26, 2026 How underrated this movie is, great action, functional story and Travolta in "Vega Mod" with cocaine. See more Gregory S @Gregory566 Jan 12, 2026 This was such a frustrating movie. The two best parts of the movie are Travolta and then the driver. It’s a shame because this could have been epic. See more Elizabeth R @Eregs777 Jan 8, 2026 Was it a good movie? No. But do I still love it? Absolutely. I love John Travolta'a character. He's funny, he's serious, he's highly entertaining. Jonathan Rhys Meyers annoyed me and was terrible in this movie. I don't know if he's any good in anything else, but I wouldn't waste my time watching him in anything. Travolta saved this movie for me, and is the only reason I watch it over and over. See more Pongo K @RT48921889 Sep 28, 2025 A lot of shooting. I really never understood the plot, but I guess that was not important. A pretty thin story anyway. Easily forgotten movie. See more Read all reviews
