A queen lays dying as her son, Prince, travels across a barren wasteland to find a near-mythical medicine to save her life. After evading violent raiders on motorbikes led by the Warlord and his enforcer, Prince meets Ash, a robotic assassin in search of its own soul. A low-rent, post-apocalyptic sci-fi tale that doesn't succeed as either homage or parody of such obvious inspirations as the Mad Max series, Future World proves as original as its title.

Franco and Cheung's unorthodox approach of directing almost the entire film in random, nomadic Steadicam shots with wobbly zooms alienates the simplistic plot.

I'd say it looked like what Corky St. Clair of "Waiting for Guffman" would come up with if he had a mind to make a "Mad Max: Fury Road" knockoff, but that would be insulting to Corky St. Clair.

Franco's film really is awful, but it's also weirdly watchable - if only for Jovovich's eye-popping turn and for the spectacle of Waterhouse stomping through the desert with her catwalk-model strut.

This film is SO BAD it inspired me to finally join Rotten Tomatoes. I am aware that Jojovich being in a movie is a very bad sign. It has been downhill for her acting since the 5th Element. She now just appears in cheap, nasty post apocalyptic garbage. And in this POS it is awful, Clichéd and cardboard. Waterhouse weirdly struts through the movie like she is on a Model Runway. If she was successful at modelling, she should stick to it. She is a lousy actor. Franco is also terrible as an actor in this, giving a truly cringeworthy performance. He apparently also "Directed" it! Strange, I thought it had no director from the farce on screen. This has to be one of the worst motion pictures it has been my misfortune to sit through. Trite, clichéd, unentertaining, predictable in the extreme. A totally worthless POS.

Might be one of the worst movies I’ve suffered through. When the robot says”it is what it is” pretty much summed up the terrible writing only to be exceeded by the horrible cinematography.

james franco tuvo la oportunidad de hacer un western post apocaliptico con toques de drama lesbico pero la desaprovecho en pro de hacer un mal homenaje/burla o lo que sea de muholland drive en el universo de mad max, desaprovecho un cast excelente y de alguna manera logro desaprovecharse a si mismo, lo unico que puedo destacar es la presentacion de su personaje, ver como apuñalaba a un viejo mientras atras estampaban un niño contra la pared fue crudo y me dio buena impresion, tambien destacar que pese a lo ilogico que pueda ser me gusta que en vez de irse por lo obvio y directamente copiarle a mad max con el tema del agua la gasolina y los autos decidio que el recurso que escasea en este caso sean las balas, poco mas es destacable
