Peele seduces, subverts and manipulates audience expectations - as the masters Alfred Hitchcock, John Carpenter, and Stanley Kubrick did before him.

This brilliantly provocative first feature from comic turned writer-director Jordan Peele proves that the best way to get satire to a mass audience is to call it horror.

The lack of tension robs us of the visceral catharsis that is integral to our enjoyment of terror. There’s no shock in the mayhem and little pleasure in the revenge.

It really is impressive how this film gives a really nuanced social commentary on what it is like to experience racism... It expresses the false sense of security of a masked racism right below the surface that others and marginalizes black people.

Great premise. Horror doesn’t come from cheap jump scares or creepy monsters, it comes from people. Some cheesy and goofy parts, but overall a great film. White people are crazy tbh.

Anyone who has given this movie a poor rating is obviously a racist white person

This is a deep movie. I loved every second of it. I have never rooted for the protagonist that hard in cinema history. This movie is an experience that talks about people taking racism too far. I think that this movie deserves to be claimed most profound movie ever.

Great acting, great voice effects, great characters, great story...everything was top tier. Definitely deserves a watch. (Spoiler starts from here) Just didn't understand why a well character and already suspecting character like Chris didn't get out the very moment or at least closer when Andre screamed it.
