The plot is preposterous, but Joe Wright, the director, gives the movie enough audacious drive and style for the story to skim over the holes in the narrative logic. Go to Full Review Alyx Vesey Bitch Media Jan 11, 2021
Even though there are misogynistic undercurrents to the fatal gunshot wound Hanna delivers... Weigler will never die because she lives on in Hanna, and her story will be retold and revised just like the fables women and girls pass on to one another. The thing with Joe Wright's beautifully shot movie is that it never really feels true. Go to Full Review Patrick Cavanaugh The Wolfman Cometh Sep 11, 2025

The breakout performance by Saoirse Ronan is elevated to impressive heights with the help of scrappy action sequences and a pulsating score. Go to Full Review Michael Leader Den of Geek May 8, 2024

Hanna shows some promise, particularly in Ronan’s versatile performance, but between the overwrought style and underdeveloped script, there’s plenty for Wright to workshop... Go to Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review Jul 31, 2023

There may not be as much grand meaning or deeply affecting substance when compared to his previous works, but Wright and company have created an exciting story, richly told with copious amounts of style. Go to Full Review Read all reviews

Good movie, c it. See more VITALII H @freakynickison Oct 29, 2025 DON'T WANNA LIE, I EXPECTED THIS MOVIE TO END IN A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT WAY SO I HATED THE WAY IT ENDED AND NOT ONLY BECAUSE OF THAT BUT ALSO BECAUSE IT ENDED SO ABRUPTLY. THE MOVIE ITSELF IS ABOUT AS IF "LUCY" (2014) IS LOOKING FOR X-MEN TO JOIN THEM BUT THEY'RE NOWHERE TO BE FOUND AND SHE HAS NO SUPERPOWERS... IT WAS COOL THAT HANNA (SAOIRSE) HAS SUPER STRENGTH AND SUPER INTELLECT BUT IT WOULD'VE BEEN MUCH MUCH INTERESTING TO WATCH IF SHE HAD TELEKINESIS OR IDK IF SHE WAS ABLE TO SUMMON FIRE FROM THE PALM OF HER HANDS. SAOIRSE THROUGHT THE WHOLE MOVIE WAS SO GRACEFUL AND CONVINCING! OVERALL THE MOVIE WASN'T BAD. BUT IT WAS MISSING SOME DETAILS, LIKE IT WAS UNFINISHED... See more Julian Rex M @Julian_M Aug 30, 2025 Despite a handful of arresting moments, Hanna ultimately fails to find the anarchic-hearty balance it so earnestly strives for, collapsing into a thoroughly directionless collection of scattered fight scenes, thin characters, and frantically uneven pacing. See more Dominic B @RT83360345 Aug 22, 2025 The story is ludicrous and not overly suspenseful. On the other hand it's very well cast and somehow different: some long, pensive scenes and more quiet dialog than you normally find in action films. I'm not sure what to make of this one.
