This creepfest initially serves up some good horror-flick fun, but seems to lose the plot as the wind kicks up and the sky changes colour and the chase goes on and on ...

In its best moments, Hellions is interesting and perplexing and worth soaking in, in the sense that one would admire a Hieronymus Bosch-inspired painting. But without at least one foot on the ground, it doesn't inspire fear.

Some of the horror tropes being played with here - Rosemary's Baby is a clear touchstone - are staying up way past their bedtime.

While it doesn't break the mold for Halloween-themed horror, the ways in which it reimagines and reinterprets iconography of the holiday makes it worthy of being an annual October watch.

It's kind of in-your-face and it kind of loses some of its artistic integrity but other than that I thought it was an interesting ride.

A loosely plotted, hallucinogenic horror that is more weird than scary.

Bizarre and nonsensical, Hellions is more confusing and underwhelming than unnerving or scary.

It was ALMOST a good horror movie. Until it wasn't. It seems like a bunch of art students got together and edited it into oblivion. So many cut aways, random imagery, flashbacks, flash forwards, it lost any chance of being entertaining. But, Robert Patrick was in it for some reason, so I gave it at least 1.5 stars.

The most formulaic horror I've seen in years. Gave up after 40 minutes

Slow start, but gets better makes you wonder from beginning if she imagined whatever happens as it happens to cope for her probably doing the things that happen. Maybe breakdown maybe not.
