The story-telling was slow, honest, and beautiful; and the imagery was the incredibly unique kind of story-telling that we just don't see as often anymore. DEFINITELY underrated. Wow. It had potential if it weren't, for the fact, that she cheats on her really cute boyfriend for some cocky rich kid. Ruined everything for me. The entire movie is actually not based on her boyfriend, but the guy she cheats on him with? And it's basically made out to be okay, too. They are the main couple. Did she break up with him or talk to him about it atleast, before it got out of hand? No. I might be biased because i watched this for Josh Hartnett, but cheating shouldn't be made okay. Poor Jasper. See more Sarah F @RT94170845 10/23/2024 I was quite disappointed by this film. She cheats on her boyfriend (who seems like a great guy) with a cocky rich boy. Falls in love after only knowing him for a brief time. Cocky guy abandons her when he finds out she's dying. He shows back after some time. He apologizes and she shushes him and just acts like everything is all ok. Boo 👎 See more Emily P @RT03271834 05/29/2024 I liked this movie when I saw it the first time when I was in middle school, I love Leelee Sobieski I’m bias because she was my first favorite actress, but her character of Samantha in the movie loved Josh Hartnett’s character Jasper, she thought she was in love but fell out of love and she found her soulmate through Chris Klein’s character of Kelley. This movie definitely deserves a higher score than 17% but my favorite line besides them quoting Robert Frost was, “Some people live their whole lives and never fall in love…I lived my life and I fell in love. “ See more Steve D @RT35616104 02/06/2023 The cast do a good job but the story is poor melodrama. Pretty strong leading cast, "mates" that all looked the same, nice camerawork .. and a god awful story. Truly terrible. She falls for the rich block cause .. literally no idea.
