A Mexican master (Alexandro Jodorowsky) leads a Christ figure (Horacio Salinas) and other disciples to a mountain of immortal wise men.

Critics Consensus

A visual treat rich in symbolism, The Holy Mountain adds another defiantly idiosyncratic chapter to Jodorowsky's thoroughly unique filmography.

Hardly a moment passes in this movie without a situationist display of outrageousness; it is a dream tableau of the weird and occasionally wonderful.

This film simultaneously amazes and disturbs to a level of total vibrant surrealism. It’s a trip which enlightens you to the evils of the world and the wisdom of the cosmos.

The only time I have ever felt hungover the next day just from watching a movie. Jordowsky is an alchemist with a camera and will have you questioning your beliefs by the end of this celluloid trip.
