As a former London constable, Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) finds it difficult to adapt to his new assignment in the sleepy British village of Sandford. Not only does he miss the excitement of the big city, but he also has a well-meaning oaf (Nick Frost) for a partner. This is great filmmaking and storytelling that just so happens to allude to other action movies in its construction. And quite frankly, it’s greatly entertaining in both the comedic and action realms, far surpassing its referenced sources.

Hot Fuzz (2007) is a 114-minute-long British comedy I saw on Prime in July 2026. Iconic. I've seen this countless times. The story, the smash-editing, the plot, the cast, the dialogue, the everything. Does it have flaws? Possibly. I can’t see them and I ain’t looking. Actually, I will concede that the swan story could have been omitted without loss. Rewatch? LOL, yes. Recommend? Ha, yes! 9/10.

Excellent comedy. Didn't even know it existed until I started seeing clips of it on Youtube. Then when it appeared on Amazon Prime, I clicked on it immediately. Perfect way to pass time.
