Adapted from a best seller by Jennifer Weiner, this tends toward petty audience manipulation, though Diaz and Collette strike sparks in the early scenes.

Considering it doesn't star Maggie Smith or Judi Dench, it's surprising how mature and moving this female-focused drama is.

It's hard to believe chick flick tripe like this was even revered with critical praise, but it happened.

C-

"In Her Shoes" is an unbalanced movie that teeters between saccharine fluff and preachy self-help sentiment.

A poignant film filled with truth and situations that, unfortunately, can happen in real life. It offers a beautiful lesson about the importance of understanding each other, finding our way back to one another, and remembering that a sister can also be your best friend. I always wished I had a sister, but I never did. This film beautifully represents that unique and precious bond. A touching story that truly stayed with me.

Overlong, In Her Shoes nevertheless proves surprisingly poignant thanks to solid lead performances from Cameron Diaz and Toni Collette.

I thought it was really a heart felt movie. Good movie, maybe a tad too long. Held my interest.

It was somewhat funny but not enough. When it comes to the romantic part, it's kinda lacking everything tho... Although the movie is not bad at all it's just too long and this is why after watching the half of it you're losing the interest. Not the best movie about two sisters who can't get along but if you don't have nothing else to watch I think you can give it a shot. Maybe you'll enjoy it more than I did.
