Having cheated death, gunslinger and bounty hunter Jonah Hex has one foot in the natural world and one in the supernatural. After being left for dead by his family's killer, Quentin Turnbull, bounty hunter, Jonah Hex, has newfound powers talking to the dead and is offered a cleared name by the government to stop Turnbull's superweapon. It's an interesting mix of genres but it's surprising how lack luster this movie is with a star-studded cast.

I like the actors that are in it. Though the acting is okay for the subject matter. I would not say it is a western, but it is placed post Civil War. Another was stating that this was a career killer for the actress Megan Fox. I personally don’t expect much from her, as for me she is eye candy. Been that way since Transformers, she does fine. It is a supernatural action film, I would say if you enjoy Steven Seagal or Van Damme action flicks you should watch. Not a superhero movie, don’t know anything about the comic so I cannot state how true it is to the source material. It was fine, I was not going to watch it from the crappy animated intro, but I am glad I gave it a chance, wasn’t that bad of an action flicks. Not a masterpiece by any means, but it was a good time.

I really don't think it was that bad, but far from great. It was just the most generic superhero film you could watch. If we had more time to develop the characters and strengthen the plot, this would have been much more enjoyable. I really enjoyed the western theming here too. Josh Brolin fit the role very well.

I have no idea why the rating on the movie is so low? Great cast.. quick revenge story.. exciting, fun and ahead of its time. Put aside the hate. I liked this movie!

This movie definitely could've been better, but I still enjoyed it. Jonah Hex is one of DC Comics' most unknown yet intriguing characters, so a story about him is interesting, but this movie doesn't do his character justice.
