In Steven Spielberg's massive blockbuster, paleontologists Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) and mathematician Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) are among a select group chosen to tour an island theme park populated by dinosaurs created from prehistoric DNA. The effects… remain movie magic, and as a cautionary tale disguised as an amusement park thrill ride, its intensity is undeniable. Though I’m more drawn to the parallels between Hammond and Spielberg as obsessed visionaries bent on creative control.

Loved seeing this in the theater again. It's one of the first movies I remembered seeing as a kid and it was great sharing the experience with my niece and nephew who are about the same age I was when it came out. Still holds the same suspense and terror as it did in 1993!

Absolute Classic for a reason. Witty one-liners. Solid plotting and pacing. CGI that's just starting to age. Gruesome deaths... that you don't get to see too much of since it's PG-13. Suspense. Also there's Dinosaurs in it... which like honestly there's surprisingly few of those.
