A hotel clerk (Dominique Abel) falls in love with a woman (Fiona Gordon) who walks up to his front desk and offers to grant him three wishes.

Critics Consensus

Nearly as light and magical as its namesake, La Fée (The Fairy) casts a fizzy comedic spell whose sweet charms include a pleasantly tart undercurrent.

I personally admired and cringed at about the same time.

If you like Tati-esque japes, Francophone clowns Abel, Gordon and Romy should be just up your alley.

All over the place, but somehow it retains a sweet tonal cohesiveness.

Abel and Gordon's relationship on screen is a delight to watch... The pair, along with a wonderful performance by Romy as a goggle-eyed bartender, demonstrate an exacting knowledge of their craft.

It's often a lot of fun with some dance numbers thrown in.

Very uneven movie. At times it was clever and amusing. But at other times it was too infantile and went after those cheap laughs. The movie was not very good, but it wasn't bad either. There was something magical and captivating and I couldn't let my eyes go off the movie even for a second. The main couple were lovely. So all in all a positive experience. :)

Clearly, a great deal of talent went into this film. Essentially it is a collection of sleekly choreographed circus and slapstick bits put together within the context of a silly little story. I found it tedious and too long, but some will enjoy the style. I really do not see all that much of inspired Tati work here. It is not that clever.

French movies are very weird sometimes. This is one of those times. Cute and quirky.

French absurdity that does have its splendid moments, but it falls short in the big picture. It is an odd one, but you can see they have potential.
