It’s a tense, sometimes incendiary movie that constantly challenges its audience. You never know who has the upper hand in any conversation, or who is telling the truth. Go to Full Review Wendy Ide Observer (UK) Nov 9, 2019

Adapted by Onah and JC Lee from Lee's play of the same name, it's chilling and provocative, sharply written and sensationally acted by a cast of big-hitters and unknowns. Go to Full Review Brittany Patrice Witherspoon Pop Culture Reviews Jul 14, 2024

See more Rhondrea Sep 10, 2019 Very well thought of movie...however, the ending was rushed and left you hanging! Would have been a great story if they worked on a better ending! See more Ronson Sep 4, 2019 The acting was superb and the story engrossing. I really enjoyed the movie tremendously. Just unsure of the ending and would like to hear what others thought it meant. See more Randy C Sep 4, 2019 A great story and great acting. Octavia Spencer deserves another Oscar for this one. The young man playing Luce was amazing as well. The movie constantly makes you teeter the line of who is telling the truth and who is lying. It was a roller coaster of a ride and it keeps you thinking about race, stereotypes, etc for days after. See more ARI Sep 4, 2019 Small, Powerful Character-Driven Drama which leads you in a Surprising way! You think its one thing but it goes in a different direction & thats a Good thing!
