Beautifully shot with a surreal dreamlike quality, but this film just seemed like it was slowly leading up to something and never got there. I couldn’t help but feel like the film maker threw every art film trope into the pot just to demonstrate how deep he is. Despite some genuinely imaginative and disturbing images here and there, this film never really grabbed me.

A small community of cultists live in complete seclusion in a remote mountain. Their leader is a man with radical religious views. The community starts falling apart when their faith is challenged by a series of unfortunate events. "Luz: The Flower of Evil" is a multi-layer exploration of faith and evil, showing us how the dynamics between these two realities can dramatically affect our humanity. The movie is a remarkable and beautiful cinematic experience. Colours are vivid and vibrant, contrasting with the darkness that consumes the lives of the members of this strange cult. Visually stunning!

"Luz: The Flower of Evil" is a film that lets you bring your own thoughts and ideas to make the experience richer. It beautifully delves into the darker aspects of religion and obsession. I personally loved it but I see how it is not for all moviegoers.

Luz: The Flower of Evil is a strong mixtue of philosophy and hyper-realism that fires on all cylinders at all times.

Beautiful and traumatic. Anyone who tells you they fully understand the movie and its message is lying to you. One of those movies that speak to people in different ways, but everyone can get something from it. Also if you are looking for nicely wrapped up story lines look elsewhere.

The Witch meets Midsommar, meets The Tree of Life meets Jodorowsky. Pretty much a win
