Ward D @RT60714613 Sep 17, 2026 This is an excellent classic and a highly entertaining musical. See more Mark B @Thelaser555 Sep 7, 2026 Doing my best to not let Van Dyke's atrocious cockney accent (was their no voice coach on set to tell him how bad it was? what about the other cast members or even the crew?) Now I realise, after watching this movie again, that some of the scenes were not for me. The Uncle Albert thing up on his ceiling?? Way too long and not funny. Then there was the 'feed the birds woman'??? (and that shot of her talking to herself was almost macabre) The animation scenes went on a tad too long and when Bert and Mary stopped to have tea and were served by...er....penguins?? And to finish (on the negatives) the very irritating overuse of some mad neighbour (who thought he was still a naval captain) setting off cannons left right and centre from his rooftop each day?? The council would have swiftly acted surely?? However, Julie Andrews's brilliance cannot be denied and Van Dyke's dual role as Mr Dawes Sr, the banker, was just fantastic as well as his 'step in time' dance routine as a chimney sweep See more bruce F @bruce999 Aug 15, 2026 enjoyable, and fun songs a classic. See more Ranjeetta K @RT24577085 Aug 3, 2026 The film is great with songs like Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, Sister suffragette and all of that, yet I do give this 2.5 star. While this film is a truly unique classic, in the Uncle Albert sequence, the male characters(Bert and Uncle Albert)all seem to be off whilst the children is not a problem. Mary Poppins is the only dignified character in this scene as she refuses to laugh and float to the ceiling. Plus, in the step in time sequences, this one is far too long, consisting of 8 minutes. Whilst I found George Banks stuffy and boring, at the end, I just found him as a stressed father. See more diogo13 T @Tua_mera Jul 10, 2026 Bom filme. Sempre bom ver os filmes dessa época da Disney, tem uma aura mágica que me emociona toda vez. É um filme muito contemplativo, das músicas, danças e cenários, coisa que não existe mais hoje em dia. Mas eu gosto mais do 2 filme. See more alan G @agenser Jun 11, 2026 One of the all time great musical films. Stiil vibrant after all these years. The recent sequal pales in comparison.
