Leprechaun K @LeprechaunKing 7 hrs ago It is well directed and executed by Spielberg. Movie has an impartial take on the subject of violence and vengeance. It is very long but pacing is well managed through effective storytelling. Bana's performance is outstanding. See more Huntin P @PaxVobiscum80 Sep 14, 2026 This movie, indebted as it is to Apocalypse Now and other '70s political thrillers, is mostly excellent. Spielberg does allow things to become overwrought, unfortunately. Avner's flashbacks to the Munich terrorist attack make no sense: he wasn't there, didn't see it, had no personal connection to the victims. So why is he seeing things we only recognise because we're watching a movie? Okay. That aside, Avner (Eric Bana) is a bland if handsome anti-hero. The team dynamic, with the other unofficials (let's call them) is richly entertaining, as are the various turns by the European actors. Mathieu Amalric superb as Louis, and Michael Lonsdale, the legend, stealing every scene as Louis's father. Geoffrey Rush, always excellent, as Ephraim. Daniel Craig (those blue eyes!) convincing as a South African. Really everybody is good, even the baby. The ending is a little unsatisfactory, alas. Beautiful and tragic, as are many things in life. A must watch for everyone. Incredible acting and strong themes. See more Oscar T @ScarfaceRampage Jun 10, 2026 Amazing film. Daniel Craig, Eric Bana and directed by Steven Spielberg… See more Karol W @RT27859419 May 21, 2026 A masterpiece of moral ambiguity that refuses to offer easy answers — and that's exactly what makes it so powerful. Munich is Spielberg operating at the peak of his craft, turning the aftermath of the 1972 Olympics massacre into a haunting meditation on vengeance, identity, and the cost of violence on the human soul. Eric Bana delivers a career-best performance, slowly unraveling as a man who begins to question everything he's been asked to do. The ensemble around him is flawless. Janusz Kamiński's cinematography is cold and gorgeous, and John Williams' score is among his most restrained and affecting. At nearly three hours, not a single minute feels wasted. This is the rare political thriller that is equally a deeply personal film — one that stays with you long after the credits roll. Essential cinema. See more Read all reviews
