Stelios P @Stelios_Panag 5d This is a movie that almost feels like a parody, except there's no irony. The dialogue is boring and has no interesting aspects, and the plot is mediocre at best. You can always predict what lines of dialogue will have an important aspect later. It tries to achieve horror through gross elements, which almost never works. It's extremely cliche, featuring an abandoned village, a forest, a retirement home (which are the most stereotypical locations for a horror movie). The messages it gives are "don't abandon your elders", which would be cool to explore, if it wasn't so generic. 1.5/5, watch at your own expense. The premise could’ve been eerie or satirical, but instead it plays out like a straight-faced B-movie that’s just too sluggish and confused to leave an impression. A few cool shots pop up here and there, but the rest is flat performances, hollow family drama, and themes that don’t quite translate. It’s not unwatchable — just unremarkable.
