Without compelling characters, worthwhile performances, or superficially arresting aesthetic pleasures, the only thing of interest in "Out of the Dark" is its thematic concern with suppressed third-world citizens.

What is supposed to be horror movie that weaves local legends of the wake left by conquistadors with the dark side of outside businesses coming in to take advantage of the local people turns into a really cheese-fest. No disrespect to the acting, especially of Scott Speedman, but this is a movie to skip folks.
