This is an uneven film. In places, you will applaud and whistle. But you might also find yourself utterly exhausted.

Avoiding flabby subplots, Mr. Dholakia keeps "Raees" taut and suspenseful, even at two and a half hours, though it probably has a song too many.

The problem in Raees lies in the fact that it just cannot fully commit to being a single-screen entertainer, nor does it have the chops to completely win over the multiplex audience.

You'd think a role like this one lends itself to bravery and riskiness, but this is probably the safest risk ever taken.

The movie is an unabashed commercial entertainer. You go in for the awesomesauce Raees-Majmudar war, which is full of decadent Bollywood masala. If you are into that kinda thing, you will regret missing this one.

A powerful crime drama with great performances and an engaging story. Shah Rukh Khan shines in the lead role, bringing both intensity and emotion to the character. The dialogues, music, and action sequences make it a thoroughly entertaining watch from start to finish.

The movie feels incredibly powerful and high energy. The intense action, dramatic dialogues, and strong performances keep you hooked from start to finish. It makes you root for the main character despite his flaws, leaving you feeling thrilled but also a bit emotional by the end.

One of the average movies featuring SRK but good to see him in a new avatar with this role. Worth trying if you're a SRK fan and wanted to see him try something new
