Ricocheting between comedy, apocalyptic horror, and swooning soap opera, Rumours follows the seven leaders of the world’s wealthiest democracies at the annual G7 summit, where they attempt to draft a provisional statement regarding a global crisis. If some viewers can still cling onto The West Wing as a comfort watch... there’s something to be said for the appeal of a text offering the total flip side in its portrayal of centrism’s capabilities, especially one as full of punkish spirit as this.

You’re not going to get it. You’ll likely be frustrated by it, even storm out of the cinema in anger at the unsatisfying conclusion it gives its protagonists and story. But that’s precisely why I loved it.

This film actually has a ton of funny moments, but it drones on much too long and at the end it just feels pointless. A lot of deception within the ads as well, hardly any horror here.

This was literally the worst movie I’ve ever seen. It was rambling and disorganized pointless and thoroughly boring. Zero entertainment. I didn’t connect with any of the characters, I was looking at my watch after the first 30 minutes. I would rather kill myself than see this movie again. It was worse than staring at a white wall for two hours. I wish I could unsee it.

I absolutely enjoyed it—even if I don’t think I understood it. I was like an apocalyptic fever dream someone has while waiting in line at the UN passport office. The acting and dialogue were quite good. I just wish it could have come together more, while retaining its ridiculousness.
