A heartfelt family drama rich in culinary charm, though its distinctive humor may not suit every palate.

The movie is divided into four acts: the first being annoying with family antics, the second with happy montage, the third with bizarre generational trauma therapy, and the fourth being epilogue stuff. Nope, no plot threads are resolved except for the kid and the pho business.

In my mind, I imagined this movie is what it would look like if the "Bob's Burgers" show were adapted into a Vietnamese soap opera.
