Carlos I @carlosFibarra May 13, 2026 Shanghai Knights is a spirited sequel that relies heavily on the undeniable charm of its lead duo, and it is genuinely fun to see these two paired up again because their chemistry is so great. However, the film ultimately suffers from the law of diminishing returns, offering a follow up that feels less inspired than the original. While the Victorian London setting provides a fresh backdrop for the action, the adventure itself is pretty average. It remains a fun but pedestrian experience that serves as decent popcorn entertainment without ever truly raising the stakes. See more D3Z 1 @RT51637195 Mar 31, 2026 The sequel to Shanghai Knights still delivers the same old fun and charm that its predeccessor had. Even though its story is not quite perfect, the cast of Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson still provide the thrills and spills with its comedic and action kicking sequences. See more Darren P @RT32467907 Oct 4, 2025 Great sequel the first was brilliant and like the London times and fight on the big ben great film great cast See more Daniel S @RT37151421 Jun 19, 2025 It is a historical disaster wrapped in an action-comedy gem, and honestly, it's delightful chaos. The movie juggles British rock from the 60s, Charlie Chaplin cameos, Jack the Ripper, and kung fu umbrellas like it’s the most natural thing in the world. Spoiler alert: it’s not. But Jackie Chan makes you believe it anyway. Chan is the soul of the film, delivering jaw-dropping fight sequences that blend martial arts with slapstick in ways that make you laugh, wince, and cheer all at once. He even pays cheeky homage to Singin’ in the Rain, because why not? Donnie Yen joins the ride just to remind us that watching two masters go at it on screen is a gift. Fann Wong shines, bringing strength and charm to a role that finally gives the female lead something to do beyond looking concerned. Now for the not-so-great. Owen Wilson seems like he's still playing the same guy from the last film. No growth, no surprises, just more of the same lazy charm and cluelessness. It's funny... until it isn’t. And the movie’s attempt at historical fiction? Let’s just say your history teacher would faint. But it’s hard to stay mad when you’re having this much fun. So yes, it's ridiculous. But it's also fast, funny, and wildly entertaining. Just don’t bring a history book. Bring popcorn. See more Stephen C @bob25009 Jun 16, 2025 Funny in 1 hour and 54 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
