Eye C @ECinc 3d This movie is a marketing victim, the trailer sells the picture as a thriller, even a little as horror, but it really is a drama, psychological drama as much. But other then this the movie is good, the premise is interesting and let you think about the PTSD and the over protection of the childs. See more S K @SDK9001 May 6 A promising premise, but the likelihood of the two parents ever being compatible (prior to buying the house) is a hard sell. From our introduction to them, he is twitchy, neurotic and cringe-generating and she is a sensible, grounded and appealing. Story would have worked better if the gradual decline in their relationship would have been a bigger component of the plot. See more Matt R. @matty3stax Mar 30 Ben Foster is a fantastic actor. He again plays his role in this movie very well. It’s way over done though. Completely unbelievable.. even the nerdiest guy doesn’t act that way. His wife is a therapist that has no idea how to act in a relationship… or either she’s married to a stranger. He’s spiraling into becoming a bad guy and I still disliked her more. Nothing to like about any of the characters. Losing his job happens without enough storyline invested. All the wrecks are unbelievable. At that rate 75 people would die in their front yard in a year.The concept is great the plot is awful. It could have been a really good movie and it just isn’t. How it got 92 percent on here is alarming. . See more Dana K @goodgrief2 Jan 20 Great premise but predictable with unlikeable characters…like other reviewers I didn’t understand why the guy was so effeminate and wimpy, it was annoying, I don’t even think it was a good character study and I like a good one….the whole marriage came crashing down so quickly and suddenly (unless it was rocky before but I didn’t think so), and I thought the end would have some sort of surprise or twist but nope, just the expected ending 🤷‍♀️ See more Emiliano F @DrAlanGrant Dec 28 There's a great idea here that's not actualized until the last 15 minutes, when this mind-numbing boring movie should have actually started.
