Decorated U.S. Army combat veteran Calvin Cole is court ordered into treatment and into the care of a VA trauma therapist in-training. Things become even more complicated when Calvin's father-in-law and a retired Vietnam Veteran, shows up on his doorstep having just been released from prison. Where "Sheepdog" completely succeeds is in addressing veteran support. Veterans still fail to get the support they need and deserve. Kudos to Grayhm for shining a spotlight on this shameful aspect of American culture.

The actors are phenomenal. I appreciated the way that the story was told. The audience is left with whatever impressions or biases they brought in them regarding the main character & through gradual reveals in the story, you begin to see the main character for who they truly are, the wounds they carry & the struggle in front of him. Truly impressive that Steven Grahym wrote, produced and acted in this. More importantly, he spent years talking to veterans in doing research for this.
