See more rich k Mar 15, 2026 Fun , 80s nostalgia, for anyone who played an instrument in school or didn't, but liked 80s music. A film with a nice plot and a very uplifting finale which is rare in most films today. See more Horror fan 4 @Horrorfan4life 2 days ago Wow this movie surprised the heck out of me. The performances of these actors was phenomenal. All the characters were fun to watch and the music the band played was like they'd been playing together for years. The love connection that was made in this film was amazing. The ending is perfect along with the rest of the movie. Give it a watch you'll probably be glad you did. See more Matthew D @OceanSage Sep 1, 2026 Sing Street is a wonderful Irish film about making a band with your friends. Irish director John Carney, of Once fame, crafts delightful songs and searing love in his coming of age musical comedy-drama Sing Street (2016). Ferdia Walso-Peelo is excellent as young Irish singer Conor Lalor. His beautiful singing, clean guitar playing, and sincere acting make Conor a very likable hero to follow. Lucy Boynton is gorgeous and moving as the sorrowful aspiring model Raphina. Jack Reynor is amazing as Conor’s concerned and hilarious stoner older brother Brendan. Kelly Thornton is fabulous as Conor’s older sister Ann, on her path to be an architect. Mark McKenna is phenomenal as the bunny loving Eamon. He’s a guitarist, songwriter, bassist, drummer, keyboardist, and all around musician. Ian Kenny is a riot as the cruel and insane school bully Barry. Ben Carolan is fun as the band’s manager. In all, Sing Street is a very charming 105 minutes of endearing characters and excellent music. See more matthias S @Thescreenasvor Jul 30, 2026 Sing Street was exactly the kind of movie I needed while being sick. It has such a warm, uplifting vibe that instantly makes you feel a little better. John Carney really knows how to create that feeling, and I might have to start a little John Carney marathon because his films seem perfect for moments like this. The atmosphere, the setting, and the way you become part of the band’s journey are all beautifully done. The songs are catchy, the characters are charming, and it’s just a genuinely feel-good movie. 4 stars. See more Read all reviews
