Critics Consensus

Wildly imaginative and powered by Chance The Rapper's bright charisma, Slice piles on ideas with infectious energy, but can't always overcome its overstuffed plot and uneven pacing.

An 83-minute film that somehow feels stretched out longer than it should be, both because of pacing issues and because there's zero mystery behind the central narrative mystery. A puerile comedy with bursts of greatness.

The insanely zany storyline and the energetic performances, and yes, Chance eventually transforming into a werewolf - all of it kept me entertained throughout, and bless this movie's black little heart for that.

Slice is the kind of first try that makes this critic interested in seeing what Vesely will do next, as it's evident he has a lot of imagination and comedic chops, even though he didn't quite achieve anything memorable here.

A low budget horror comedy that may be a new addition to my Halloween season rotation.

Very cheap flick. It would have been 2.5 points, but I took a whole point off for profaning the Lord's name.
