Janet L @RT16385309 Oct 28, 2025 The 3rd Guest, produced by Grey Star Entertainment and distributed by Indican Pictures, is a haunting, elegantly paced horror experience that proves atmosphere and emotion can be just as unsettling as any jump scare. At its heart is Nikki Kris, whose performance elevates the film from a standard ghost story into something deeply personal and psychologically rich. Kris plays Evie, a woman caught between grief and guilt after a devastating loss, and her portrayal is both fragile and fierce. From the moment she appears on screen, she commands attention — her quiet gestures and subtle expressions drawing viewers into her unraveling world. Rather than relying on overt fear, Kris builds tension through emotional truth; we don’t just watch her character descend into the unknown, we feel every tremor of her fear and doubt. The production itself is a triumph of mood and texture. Grey Star Entertainment has crafted a world that feels isolated yet intimate — a perfect playground for supernatural unease. The visuals are darkly beautiful, with shadowy corridors, flickering candlelight, and moments of stillness that make the audience lean in rather than recoil. Each frame feels meticulously composed to amplify Kris’s presence, letting her carry the film’s emotional and psychological weight. Indican Pictures’ distribution ensures that this gem of a horror film reaches audiences who appreciate slow-burning dread over shock value. It’s the kind of movie that seeps into your mind — the kind that leaves you uneasy long after the credits fade. Nikki Kris’s performance is the soul of The 3rd Guest. She brings depth and humanity to a role that could have easily been defined by fear alone. Instead, she offers vulnerability, strength, and an undercurrent of sorrow that makes the supernatural elements feel all too real. It’s an understated but unforgettable turn — one that confirms Kris as a standout presence in contemporary horror. See more Pam R @RT20572839 Jul 26, 2025 Cabin-in-the-woods troupe with an interracial husband/wife on rough times. They have a hack ghost hunting business and take a lucrative job opportunity or they'll lose their house. They have a recently deceased daughter and the daughter comes back to haunt them. They think it's the home-owner playing a prank. Slowly the wife dives into the history of the old house, and the cult leader / magician Karlov. The husband cracks and is possessed by this magician, turning on his wife. It's a formula that worked well for Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer in 'What Lies Beneath', but with a non-existent budget and fresh actors, the slow methodical pace is hindered by obvious production issues. The strength is in the setting, which is utilized extremely well for the budget limitations. The music is also orchestrated well. See more Jamie P @RT57550614 Mar 9, 2025 Absolute crap! No more needs to be said. See more pablo c @RT08520721 Jan 21, 2025 Ouch folks. An hour into it and I had to shut it off. Evident that it is low budge; bad script and acting. Not sure what all the rave reviews are about. Bots? Don't do it. See more dolph w @RT87115203 Jan 4, 2025 I can't for the life of me understand how people gave this more than 2 stars...... wasted 2 hrs of my life I'll never get back.. hoped it would get better but never did........... 🗑 🚮 🗑 See more Kanny L @RT75955901 Nov 7, 2024 Going into this with low rent expectations, it succeeds in merely existing. Acting is acceptable and camera work is capable. The use of drone footage is outside of the norm for this zero budget range. The story is simple, but stumbles with execution. More time to stew in a pot before filming, would have dramatically helped. The abundance of podcasts and social media help shed some light on this troubled production. Worth a watch. Most of the credits are one person. I'm surprised they didn't star in this as well. That would make it fall into a Neil Breen or Birdemic territory. That may have made it more watchable, but he may have had the sense to not go in front of the camera, too. See more Read all reviews
