Can't believe the rating isn't higher See more PTSports F @RT66220355 Jul 24 Even though I was in my prime in the 90's during this film, & even tho I saw Whitney in concert in 1987!, I never saw this movie until just now, July of 2026! So I had plenty of reviews & ratings to go by & the one I trust the most is the people's PopcornMeter. I give it about a B, B-. So that means better than average, but certainly not "great". My ultimate takeaway is "I miss Whitney" and I'm just sad she died so young, age 48. Her (and that scumbag Bobby Browns) daughter died at age 22. Anyway, she acted pretty good and she was a lot cuter than I remembered. Lucky Costner. And Costner, 35 years later, still going strong & on top of the world. Amazing how the guy superstars (hello Tom Cruise) can last for thru 5 decades. Top Gun in the 80's. And the ladies get maybe 2. This movie was "decent" & brings back memories. The leads were good, altho Kevin Costner's character was not that sympathetic. The main problem was the screen play was poor. The plot got more farfetched as it went along. I wasn't expecting much. I never went to see it when it came out. The positive audience reviews got me to give it a try, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. It could have been so much better with a good script.
