Twenty years after Maria Rossi (Suzan Crowley) murdered three people, her daughter, Isabella (Fernanda Andrade), seeks the truth about that terrible night. Isabella travels to an Italian hospital for the criminally insane -- where Maria is locked away -- to find out whether her mother is mentally ill or demonically possessed. Critics Consensus

The Devil Inside is a cheap, choppy unscary mess, featuring one of the worst endings in recent memory.

If The Devil Inside has any innovation to make to the exorcism film genre, it's iteration.

The Devil Inside is yet another dull found footage effort with nothing, bar a mad climax, to offer audiences.

No better and no worse than the countless other possession-inspired found footage movies, even if its attempt at authenticity with a website plug at the end wasn't received as it was intended.

Certainly it is far from being the worst horror film ever made, but after getting through all the good and mediocre ones, is it really worth spending time on the bad ones too?

The worst part of the film is its ending, an ending that certainly won't be revealed here but one that is such a let down.

So much better than the rating suggests. One of the best ever done. Especially since the budget was only $1m. Remarkable. An institution. $101 million at the box office doesn’t lie.

The potential was there, but it fell victim to the usual issues that "found footage" films fall into. Segments where you ask yourself, why are they filming, why is the footage so purposely shaky and filled with quick short zooms, and also how did this footage get rescued after all was said and done. I feel it would have been a little better if they discarded the unnecessary "found footage" aspect.

Don't know what people are so mad about. It was a decent film with a lot of attention to detail to make it seem like real found footage. At end I actually visited a made up website shown in the end. I like how it didn't show distorted humanoid as demons. Jumpscares are good and movie holds your attention till the very end.
